Marian Robinson
Intro
I am a Mental Health Therapist with over 24 years of clinical experience working with older adults, adults, adolescents, and families who are dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger management, self-esteem issues, grief, career and life management difficulties, end-of-life issues, and other various personal life challenges. Common concerns that I have successfully worked with include anxiety and depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and developing increased compassion and confidence.
I utilize an eclectic therapeutic treatment modality including cognitive behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, narrative therapy, and problem-solving therapy. I believe in a strength-based and person-centered treatment approach as I have a passion for helping individuals meet their goals, improve the quality of their life, and feel better about who they are and the choices they are making day-to-day.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is authentic, empathetic, and personalized to each individual. I believe in building a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions openly. Through supportive conversations, we navigate life's transitions together, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and resilience. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we'll work toward personal growth, emotional well-being, and a greater sense of fulfillment in your daily life.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we'll take the time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. This is a relaxed, supportive conversation. There's no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. We'll also talk about how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. My priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and at ease as we start this journey together at your own pace.
