Tracy Fredericks
I’m Tracy Fredericks, a licensed clinical social worker with over 25 years of clinical and administrative experience. I bring a compassionate, practical, and culturally attuned approach to supporting adults, particularly those navigating major life transitions. My work bridges emotional well-being with real-world challenges, helping clients explore what matters most with confidence and clarity. I’m honored to support older adults in finding deeper meaning, resilience, and emotional freedom in this stage of life.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each client’s story. I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies. With a focus on older adults, I prioritize autonomy, emotional resilience, and adapting to life changes with grace. I create a space where clients can freely explore emotions, build coping skills, and feel deeply supported with partnership, presence, and tools for lasting change.
What should be expected in the first session?
Your first session is a chance for us to build a connection and get clear about what you'd like to work on. I'll invite you to share your story, values, and goals, and I'll guide us with questions to better understand your emotional and practical needs. Together, we'll create a tailored plan that feels right for you. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of my style, so you feel supported and in control of your care.
