Intro

I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 27 years of experience in mental health across a variety of settings, and I’m a PSYPACT Authorized Provider—meaning I can see clients in over 40 states. I specialize in supporting older adults facing challenges such as depression, trauma, anxiety, caregiving, and major life transitions. One of my favorite sayings is, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… it’s about learning to dance in the rain”.

Many older adults encounter challenges that span both daily concerns and significant life changes. These may include retirement, managing chronic health conditions, coping with loss, caregiving responsibilities, financial pressures, or even returning to work. Others may struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, or shifts in relationships with adult children and grandchildren—all while adapting to a rapidly changing world.

As an older adult myself, I understand that aging brings both joy and challenges. My goal is to walk alongside you on this journey, helping you find strength, resilience, and meaning as we embrace both the storms and the rainbows of life. Along the way, you may even meet my dog, Zoey—she often joins me online and has a special way of bringing peace, comfort, and a little extra happiness to the process.

How would you describe your approach to care?

My approach to therapy is holistic, considering all aspects of an individual’s life while honoring their unique background, identity, and beliefs. My style is warm, welcoming, and flexible. I draw on evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and, when desired, spirituality to support you in achieving your goals and creating a more fulfilling life.

What should be expected in the first session?

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and exploring what brought you to therapy. This will be a relaxed and supportive conversation, with no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable. We’ll also discuss how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. My priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and at ease as we begin this journey together at your own pace.
