Dr. Stephen Graef
Intro
I am a board-certified psychologist with a background in counseling, performance psychology, and leadership development. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with individuals navigating stress, life transitions, and high-demand environments, including athletes, professionals, and everyday people trying to find their footing. My work focuses on helping people better understand themselves, manage pressure, and move forward with clarity. I take pride in offering a practical, down-to-earth approach that meets you where you are and helps you make meaningful progress.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is grounded, collaborative, and focused on what actually helps. I’m less interested in overcomplicating things and more interested in helping you see clearly and take meaningful steps forward. I bring a mix of clinical insight and real-world practicality, creating a space where you can think openly, process honestly, and identify what matters most. Together, we’ll look at both internal patterns and external circumstances, and work toward changes that feel realistic, sustainable, and aligned with your life.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we’ll start with a conversation about what’s bringing you in and what you’d like to get out of this process. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. I’ll help guide the discussion so we can begin identifying key themes and priorities. You can expect a relaxed, thoughtful space where you feel listened to and not rushed. By the end, we’ll have a clearer sense of direction and a simple plan for how we can move forward together.
