Dr. Tausha Watson
Intro
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience working with older adults across a range of psychological and emotional concerns. I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions related to aging or medical changes. I have worked in both outpatient and interdisciplinary settings and value collaboration with families and care teams. My work is grounded in respect, professionalism, and a strong commitment to supporting quality of life and emotional well-being.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is person-centered, compassionate, and grounded in respect for each individual’s life experience. I prioritize emotional safety, dignity, and clear communication while adapting care to cognitive, medical, and emotional needs. My work focuses on reducing distress, supporting resilience, and promoting stability, meaning, and connection. I aim to meet each person where they are while providing thoughtful, ethical, and responsive psychological care throughout later life stages, with attention to comfort, autonomy, and consistency.
What should be expected in the first session?
The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to care. We will talk about your current concerns, life experiences, and goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I will explain how sessions work, answer any questions, and make sure you feel safe and supported. There is no pressure to share more than you are ready for, and the session is guided by your needs and comfort.
