Judith Creecy
Intro
Hi, I’m Judy, a licensed clinical social worker with over 35 years of experience in behavioral health. I grew up in New York, found my way to Arizona in my 20s, and returned to the East Coast a little over 10 years ago—now I live in Connecticut. I’m passionate about therapy and working with people to improve their lives, and I hope I can be helpful to you on your own journey to a better life.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I’m client-centered, and I see therapy as a collaborative endeavor: one where I accompany clients on their journey as they work toward solutions and the goals that matter most to them. I believe in creating a supportive, warm space grounded in active listening, compassion, and empathy. Along with those qualities, I also offer practical coping skills that can be deeply healing.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and safe as you begin the journey of psychotherapy. I’ll work to establish rapport and make a meaningful connection with you, and I’ll likely ask a lot of questions to learn more about you and what you’d like to accomplish; especially your goals for our work together.
