Toni Manzione
Intro
Hi, my name is Toni. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 20 years of experience. I earned my Master of Social Work in 2005 and have worked across a range of settings, including outpatient and inpatient clinics, psychiatric hospitals, assisted living centers, nursing homes, and private practice. I am deeply committed to empowering clients through individualized care, authenticity, and a safe, neutral space where they can feel comfortable being vulnerable.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is solution-focused and client-centered, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. The goal is to help guide clients in changing ways of thinking and regulating emotions. I believe in focusing on a person’s strengths rather than pathology, and I help people recognize their resilience and build self-awareness to improve daily functioning.
What should be expected in the first session?
The first session is primarily a “getting to know you” process so I can better understand your background, current challenges, and goals for treatment. I completely understand you may feel nervous, especially if this is your first time reaching out for help. The first session is also a great time to outline your expectations and ask any questions you may have.
