Intro

I'm Christy Wyman. You can call me Jana! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nearly 30 years of experience working in mental health, abuse, neglect, crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and long-term care settings. I'm passionate about helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and emotional stressors while building coping skills and improving overall quality of life. I strive to create a supportive, compassionate environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing journey.

How would you describe your approach to care?

My approach to care is compassionate, supportive, and person-centered. I believe in meeting clients where they are emotionally while creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where they feel heard and respected. I utilize a combination of supportive therapy, CBT-informed techniques, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches to help clients better understand their emotions, develop coping skills, and improve overall functioning. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and helping clients feel empowered throughout their healing process.

What should be expected in the first session?

During the first session, we will complete an intake assessment to discuss your background, current concerns, symptoms, stressors, and goals for therapy. We will also work together to develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and areas you would like to focus on. My goal is to create a supportive, comfortable environment where you feel heard, understood, and able to begin building a strong therapeutic relationship.
