Intro
I'm Jennifer Elve, a psychotherapist, founder of Elevated Counseling and Wellness PLLC, and an Employee Assistance Program counselor with the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and a Bachelor's in Gerontology from the University of South Florida. In my private practice, I specialize in treating racial trauma, depression, and anxiety, while also providing presentations, group facilitation, supervision, and consultation on social justice, mental health, and diversifying outdoor spaces. My work is driven by a commitment to de-stigmatizing mental illness and helping individuals process their history, build resilience, and reclaim their joy.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is rooted in creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where individuals can process their history, build resilience, and reclaim their joy. Specializing in racial trauma, depression, and anxiety, I focus on helping clients heal deeply so they can become the best version of themselves. I view mental health through a lens of social justice and actively work toward de-stigmatizing mental illness to foster a more equitable society. Additionally, I integrate the healing power of outdoor spaces into mental health care to support holistic recharge and well-being. Ultimately, my goal is to walk alongside my clients as they reflect, heal from past wounds, and discover sustainable happiness within themselves.
What should a patient expect during their first session?
In your first session, you can expect a warm, compassionate space focused on understanding your personal history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. Together, we will gently explore what brings you to care, whether that involves processing racial trauma, navigating anxiety or depression, or seeking personal growth. We will also discuss how social justice, your environment, and outdoor spaces may play a role in your overall well-being and healing. This initial meeting is an opportunity to begin building trust, clarify your needs, and create a safe foundation for therapy. Together, we will start mapping out a path toward resilience, restoration, and reclaiming your joy.
