Intro

I bring many years of experience to my work, which shapes a collaborative and objective approach to therapy grounded in your individual goals. I work with older adults navigating major life transitions, and I meet each person with care, flexibility, and respect for where they are in their journey. My background includes private practice, Employee Assistance Programs, inpatient psychiatric settings, utilization review, and forensic services within a residential dual-diagnosis treatment program. I support individuals facing serious mental illness, substance use concerns, trauma, depression, anxiety, and life adjustment challenges.

How would you describe your approach to care?

My approach to therapy is grounded in authenticity, consistency, and reliability. I focus on building trust and maintaining confidentiality so you always feel safe and supported. Through empathic listening and genuine understanding, I create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable showing up as your true self. I view therapy as a collaborative, client-centered process. Together, we set meaningful goals and take practical, realistic steps toward change. We move at a pace that honors your needs while supporting growth, insight, and lasting progress.

What should be expected in the first session?

I create a safe, supportive therapeutic environment built on trust, security, and confidentiality. I prioritize active, empathic listening and encourage open expression, validation, and curiosity without judgment. I see therapy as a space where you can better understand how and why you're feeling the way you are, identify what you'd like to change, and explore how therapy can support that process. I believe the most important part of therapy is building a genuine, trusting relationship — one where you feel heard, respected, and fully supported as you work toward meaningful growth.
