Intro
I am a licensed integrative somatic psychotherapist with over a decade of experience supporting individuals navigating stress, trauma, burnout, and life transitions. My work centers on the experiences of Black and Indigenous people of color through a culturally responsive and decolonizing lens. I specialize in helping adults reconnect with themselves beyond survival mode by cultivating greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, vitality, and joy.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I integrate somatic practices, attachment-based work, and evidence-based modalities such as EMDR and Brainspotting to support healing beyond intellectual understanding alone. I believe therapy should honor the full context of a person's lived experience, including culture, identity, community, and nervous system responses. Rather than focusing "What's wrong with you?", I focus on understanding what has happened and creating space for sustainable healing, self-trust, and meaningful transformation.
What should be expected in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin building a supportive therapeutic relationship. You can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where we will explore what brings you to therapy, your goals, and the patterns or stressors impacting your well-being. I also take time to understand your personal history, relationships, coping strategies, and strengths.
