How would you describe your approach to care?

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe each person is the expert on their own life, and I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness, and person-centered techniques while tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. My focus is on helping clients develop practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What should be expected in the first session?

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. We will discuss the concerns that brought them to counseling, review relevant personal history, explore strengths, and identify goals for treatment. Clients are encouraged to share at their own pace, and there is no pressure to discuss anything before they are ready. The first session is focused on understanding their needs and creating a plan for moving forward together.
