Quenton Kayd
Intro
Hello, and welcome. My name is Quenton Kayd, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping people navigate life's transitions and challenges. I believe counseling works best when clients feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely heard. Whether you are adjusting to a new stage of life, managing stress, strengthening relationships, or seeking greater balance and purpose, I strive to provide a supportive space where we can work together toward your goals. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they build on their strengths and create meaningful change.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is collaborative, strengths-based, and focused on helping clients create meaningful, lasting change. I believe each person brings unique experiences, values, and strengths to the counseling process. Rather than telling clients what to do, I work alongside them to identify goals, explore challenges, and develop practical strategies for moving forward. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients build resilience, improve coping skills, and create positive changes that align with what matters most to them.
What should be expected in the first session?
During our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to counseling. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant life experiences, strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I am a good fit for your needs. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable while beginning to identify goals and develop a plan for moving forward together.
