Dr. Amanda Wolfson
I am a licensed psychologist who earned my doctorate in psychology from Nova Southeastern University. My graduate training and post-doctoral experiences have been focused on working with individuals impacted by trauma, anxiety, major life transitions, incarceration, and relationship challenges. I also specialize in conducting neuropsychological evaluations with adults and older adults presenting with neurocognitive and neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as forensic evaluations for individuals seeking asylum.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I am passionate about my work and utilize a culturally sensitive, integrative approach to create treatment plans tailored to each client’s individual needs. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space while fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy, including any past experiences you may have had. This will be a relaxed and supportive conversation—there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. We’ll also discuss how therapy works, what you can expect moving forward, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. My priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and at ease as we begin this journey together, at your own pace.
