Dr. Tricia Passeri
Intro
I'm a therapist who specializes in grief, bereavement, and end-of-life issues, as well as anxiety and depression. I know that facing loss — whether it's the loss of a loved one, a difficult diagnosis, or simply feeling stuck in anxiety or sadness — can feel isolating, and my goal is to walk alongside you through it, not rush you through it. My approach is warm and collaborative. I want you to feel truly heard, not just heard through a clinical lens. Whether you're grieving, anxious, or just trying to make sense of a hard season of life, I bring both experience and genuine care to our work together.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I believe therapy works best when it's collaborative, so I take time to understand what matters most to you before deciding on a direction together. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor my approach to fit your specific needs, whether that means processing grief, working through anxiety, or navigating a difficult life transition. I create a space that feels safe and unhurried, where you can process difficult emotions without judgment. My goal isn't just to help you cope, but to help you find meaning and steadiness even in life's hardest moments.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session together, I want to get to know you — what brought you to therapy, what's been on your mind, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. We'll talk through relevant history and current concerns, but there's no pressure to share more than feels comfortable; we'll go at whatever pace works for you. I'll ask questions to understand your situation more fully, and you're welcome to ask me anything about how I work. By the end of our time together, you'll have a sense of what therapy with me feels like, and we'll begin outlining a plan that feels right for you.
