Intro
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) in New Jersey with 23 years of professional work experience. I have experience helping clients cope with grief, loss, emergency psychiatric issues, addictions, gender, sexuality, relationship-related struggles, eating disorders, ADHD and Spectrum disorders. I also support overall struggles related to day-to-day stressors.
How would you describe your approach to care?
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey, my therapeutic approach is grounded in Systems Theory and the Empowerment Model. I believe that individuals do not exist in isolation; rather, their experiences, challenges, and strengths are influenced by the many systems that surround them, including family relationships, social networks, communities, workplaces, healthcare systems, and broader cultural and societal factors.
What should be expected in the first session?
Using a systems perspective, I work collaboratively with clients to understand how these interconnected influences affect their emotional well-being, relationships, and daily functioning. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I explore the larger context of a client's life to identify patterns, barriers, and strengths that may be contributing to their current concerns.
