Jonathan Frank
Intro
My name is Jonathan Frank, and I am a licensed therapist with a passion for working with older adults. I have experience supporting seniors as they navigate the emotional, relational, and life transitions that come with aging. In addition to a therapeutic setting, I have served the elderly population as a case manager ensuring seniors have the capability to remain in their homes, a nursing home setting, and an adult day care setting. I value building genuine connections with my clients and take pride in providing a respectful, compassionate, and supportive space where they feel comfortable sharing their experiences and challenges. I am committed to helping individuals feel heard and supported as they work through life’s challenges.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is centered on compassion, respect, and meeting each client where they are in their personal journey. I believe in creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences, concerns, and goals. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, working alongside clients to help them build insight, strengthen coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels meaningful and manageable to them. When working with older adults, I place importance on honoring each person’s life experiences, individuality, and strengths while supporting them through transitions, emotional difficulties, relationship concerns, grief, and changes that may come with aging. My goal is to help clients feel heard, empowered, and emotionally supported while improving their overall quality of life.
What should be expected in the first session?
In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where they will have the opportunity to share what brings them to therapy and discuss any concerns, challenges, or goals they may have. The initial session is focused on getting to know the client as a person, including their background, life experiences, current stressors, and what they hope to gain from therapy. Clients are encouraged to move at their own pace and share only what they feel comfortable discussing. The first session also provides an opportunity to ask questions about the therapy process, discuss treatment goals, and begin building a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
