Intro
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges with dignity, compassion, and hope. Throughout my career, I've worked closely with older adults and families facing complex medical, emotional, and life transitions. I believe every person has strengths that can be built upon, and my role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we work toward meaningful change together.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I approach care by first building trust and rapport. Throughout my career in hospice, dialysis, and medical social work, I've learned that people need to feel heard before they can truly engage in the process. I meet clients where they are emotionally, recognize the strengths they already possess, and help them identify realistic goals. While I provide support and education, I also encourage autonomy and self-determination. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, not judged, as they navigate life's challenges and transitions.
What should be expected in the first session?
I tell clients not to worry about having everything figured out before our first meeting. The first session is really a conversation. I'll spend time getting to know you, learning about your experiences, and understanding what prompted you to seek support. Together, we'll identify what's most important to you and discuss goals for therapy. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path forward.
