Intro

Hello! I am Amy and I have over twenty years of experience. I am welcoming and honest. I have two masters degrees and specialize in mental health and addictions. I have years of experience with individuals who experience cognitive challenges. I work with anxiety, depression, grief, loss, life's transitions, and much more. Outside of working with people, I enjoy an array of music, I love sports and I love animals. I look forward to working with you and your loved ones.

How would you describe your approach to care?

I believe in meeting people where they are and providing person-centered care. I believe in individualizing care with the techniques that work best for each person or family. I embrace humor because life can be hard. I believe in building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I encourage people to be their authentic self. I empower people to help create resilience and emotional well-being. I tend to work towards a solution focused outcome. I believe "It is okay not to be okay, and that great things never come from comfort zones."

What should be expected in the first session?

At a first session, it is simply the client and I getting to know each other and setting goals for working together. I will provide a supportive and safe environment. I will educate clients about HIPAA and consent forms. I try to make everyone as comfortable as possible. I am warm and welcoming.
