Annette Adams
Intro
I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in 4 states (Texas, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and Maine). I live in Texas and have over 30 years of clinical experience. My career has focused primarily on working with older adults and helping them succeed, achieve, and explore their thoughts and feelings as they navigate life challenges. Common concerns I have successfully worked with include anxiety and depression, grief and loss, adjusting to major health challenges, and relationship issues. I am passionate about helping individuals meet their goals, improve their quality of life, and feel better about who they are and the choices they are making day-to-day to live a purpose-driven life.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is warm, collaborative, and personalized to each individual. I believe in building a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions openly. Through supportive conversations, we navigate life’s challenges and transitions together, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and resilience. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we’ll work toward personal growth, emotional well-being, and a greater sense of fulfillment in your daily life.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. This is a relaxed, supportive conversation—there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. We’ll also discuss how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. My priority is that you feel heard, respected, and at ease as we start this journey together, at your own pace.
