Intro

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington with extensive experience supporting older adults through life transitions, changing health needs, and emotional challenges. My work has focused on helping seniors succeed, adapt, and explore their thoughts and feelings as they navigate the complexities of aging. Common concerns I address include anxiety, depression, grief, relationship stress, and building confidence during periods of change. I am passionate about helping individuals strengthen resilience, improve their quality of life, and feel more grounded in who they are. Supporting older adults as they pursue meaningful goals and greater well-being is at the heart of my practice.

How would you describe your approach to care?

I take a steady, respectful, and person-centered approach to care, especially when working with older adults. I focus on understanding each patient's history, current challenges, and the life experiences that shape their needs. My work emphasizes clear communication, thoughtful pacing, and creating a space where patients feel comfortable sharing what matters most to them. I collaborate with patients to identify practical goals that support emotional well-being and quality of life. Above all, I aim to provide care that feels supportive, grounded, and genuinely helpful.

What should be expected in the first session?

During the first session, I take time to learn about the patient's history, current concerns, and what they hope to gain from therapy. We review relevant background information, including health changes, life transitions, and support systems. I help the patient identify immediate needs and clarify what feels most important to address. The session moves at a comfortable pace, with plenty of space for questions and conversation. By the end, the patient has a clearer sense of next steps and how we'll work together moving forward.
