Intro

Everyone wants to feel better, move forward, and live a meaningful life. I help make that possible in a real, practical way. With than 20 years of experience in mental health counseling, addiction recovery, and behavioral health, I have worked with individuals, veterans, and professionals across organizations such as Aetna Employee Assistance Program (EAP), CHR Behavioral Health, and international public health programs. I help people break free from addiction, anxiety, trauma, and the patterns that keep them stuck. My background includes counseling, crisis intervention, recovery programs, clinical supervision, team training, and work within court-mandated and behavioral health systems. Today, I help adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected face reality, take responsibility, and build a life that works for them using Existential Therapy, Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing.

How would you describe your approach to care?

I'm a licensed therapist in Massachusetts and Connecticut. I work primarily from Existential, Reality Therapy, and Gestalt perspectives, helping people who feel stuck, disconnected, or trapped in patterns that no longer serve them. I'm a veteran, and my work is practical, direct, and grounded in real life—not endless analysis or pathologizing. Therapy with me focuses on personal responsibility, meaning, and choice, while also honoring the very real impact of trauma and life circumstances.

What should be expected in the first session?

Your first session with me is a space to talk openly, without judgment or pressure. We'll focus on what brings you in, what you hope to change, and getting a sense of who you are beyond the struggles. Expect a conversational, collaborative approach built on honesty, respect, and creating a place where you can feel understood and supported.
