Cynthia Melton
Intro
Hello, my name is Cynthia. I am a compassionate mental health therapist providing telehealth services. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe, heard, and understood as they work through life's challenges. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, and substance abuse.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to therapy is a patient-centered focus with emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. I believe therapy should be tailored to each person's unique experiences, goals, and needs.
What should be expected in the first session?
As a telehealth provider, I value accessibility and flexibility, allowing clients to participate in therapy from the comfort and privacy of their own space. I believe meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and consistency. In our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and exploring what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve.
