Cynthia Shapuite
Intro
I am a licensed Social Worker and Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio with nearly thirty years of clinical experience. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with older adults facing depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and complex emotional concerns. My background in community behavioral health has given me a deep appreciation for the real-world challenges people face.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I strive to provide a safe, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic environment, helping clients feel supported while developing practical strategies for well-being. My approach is compassionate and grounded, shaped by years of experience in community behavioral health and a deep respect for each individual's resilience. Through this collaborative relationship, we will work together to strengthen your emotional health and help you gain a greater sense of fulfillment in daily life.
What should be expected in the first session?
During the first session, we will focus on getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to counseling. This includes gathering information about your concerns and beginning to identify goals we can work toward together. The session is designed to be relaxed and supportive, and there is no expectation to share anything before you feel ready.
