Intro
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 18 years of clinical experience working with individuals and families. The last 7 years of my career have been focused on working with older adults and supporting them in navigating the challenges and stressors presented later in life. I am passionate about providing a warm, encouraging, and authentic space where I can collaborate with clients to build insight, strengthen confidence, and work toward their goals.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My primary goal in therapy is to provide an environment that feels safe and supportive to build a trusting relationship. My approach is collaborative and personalized to each individual. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, and solution focused techniques to assist clients during therapy. I work along side you to nurture your strengths as you hone and develop the skills needed to build resilience and lasting change.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, I will introduce myself, explain how therapy works, and answer any questions you have about the process. As we get to know each other, we will talk about what brought you to therapy. I will ask some questions about your history, your family, and past experiences. This is a relaxed and supportive conversation. There is no pressure to share more than what you are comfortable sharing. As the first session progresses, we will identify your goals for therapy and what to expect moving forward. My priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and at ease as we start this journey together.
