Intro
With over two decades of clinical experience, I bring a deep understanding of diverse mental health needs to my practice. My career includes 20 years with the VA Health system, as well as impactful work within the New York State mental health system and Columbia University's Counseling Center. Whether in my private practice or institutional roles, I am dedicated to providing warm, compassionate care that empowers clients to challenge themselves and grow.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to treatment focuses on us clearly understanding what you want to focus on. I am happy to meet you where you're at and will honestly share my perspective. We determine your goals together, and I'll point out blind spots I might see. I want you to get the most out of therapy and will push you to challenge yourself. Therapy isn't about taking the easy way out. It's about bravely looking within and doing the hard work so we can reconnect with who we truly are.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we'll complete an intake together, giving us a chance to connect and discuss your history. This is a collaborative space where we will begin identifying your goals and exploring how we can best work toward them. It's also the perfect opportunity for you to ask questions about my background, methods, or the therapeutic journey, ensuring you feel completely comfortable and supported as we begin.
