Dr. Brian Petrovich
Intro
I am a licensed psychologist with more than two decades of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges and improve their emotional well-being. Throughout my career, I have worked with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, and I am committed to helping you achieve your personal goals.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I believe that every person is unique, so I tailor treatment to each individual's needs, strengths, and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and practical, with an emphasis on helping you develop skills that can improve your daily life. I draw from evidence-based therapeutic approaches while recognizing the importance of understanding your personal experiences and values. Together, we will identify meaningful goals, build on your strengths, and work toward lasting positive change.
What should be expected in the first session?
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to accomplish so I can develop a clear understanding of your needs. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about the therapy process and discuss any concerns you may have. By the end of the session, we'll begin creating a treatment plan together so you'll leave with a clear sense of the direction we'll take moving forward.
