How would you describe your approach to care?

As a faith-based counselor, I understand the comfort of solitude and peace. Sometimes we need a reminder of how to navigate difficult life transitions with hope and resilience. I believe in meaningful processing of interpersonal conflicts from a holistic lens and drawn to approaches that help reframe difficult seasons, explore alternatives, and regain a sense of purpose. I specialize in therapeutic services with older adults experiencing relational trauma, grief and loss, isolation, and generational caregiving.

What should be expected in the first session?

During our first meeting, we'll have a conversation. I'll take some time to walk through counseling expectations, confidentiality, and our collaborative relationship in the therapeutic process. We'll begin to explore what led you to counseling and life circumstances that may have shaped your perspective. This will give us an opportunity to start identifying therapeutic goals and map out our plan. Most important, this is a safe environment. I want you to feel comfortable sharing as much or as little as we get to know each other.
