Dr. Donna Armstrong
Intro
I am Dr. Donna Armstrong. I believe therapy should support your whole well-being, including your mind, body, and relationships. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can heal, build resilience, and move toward a more hopeful future. For more than a decade, I have worked with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, using evidence-based and holistic approaches tailored to each person’s unique needs. I hold a Doctorate in Professional Counseling (DPC) and am certified in EMDR. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Humanistic Sand Tray Therapist, a Certified Batterers Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) specialist, and a Domestic Violence Counselor. In addition, I serve as a professional reviewer for the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and contribute to community education as an expert panelist.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I am a holistic therapist honoring the art of healing through respect for the patient as the expert. My care is person-centered, and I integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques and methods to meet your unique needs. I believe in focused listening, open and authentic conversations, and working together to set meaningful goals.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive space where you will be heard without judgment. I will take the time to listen to your story with compassion and empathy, while respecting your emotions and experiences.
