Dr. Harry Barsuk
Intro
Hello, my name is Harry Barsuk. I have worked as a counselor since 1996 and have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State since 2005. Throughout my career, I have worked with adults, couples, and families facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relationship concerns. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where we can work together to help you overcome challenges, build on your strengths, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe that every person has unique strengths, experiences, and goals, so I tailor treatment to meet your specific needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to help clients meet their goals and find greater peace of mind.
What should be expected in the first session?
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, and what you hope to achieve so I can better understand your needs and develop an individualized treatment plan. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions about my approach and the therapy process. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin working together.
