Dr. Kiernan Gilbert
Intro
I am a licensed clinical psychologist from Arizona with eleven years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan. Common concerns I have successfully worked with include depression, anxiety, anger management, ADHD symptoms, life transitions, caregiver stress, and trauma. I’m passionate about helping people reach their goals and feel better by creating an environment where clients feel understood, heard, and respected.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to therapy is compassionate and adaptive. Your life, your story, and your personality are unique to you, and I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our sessions will be collaborative, with you at the helm. You are the expert on your life, and I have expertise in mental health. We will work together to meet your needs and help you make progress toward your goals.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we’ll take the time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. You are always in charge of our sessions and only need to share what you feel comfortable with. We will discuss how therapy works, review past therapy experiences if applicable, and talk about what to expect moving forward. We will identify goals for our time together that are meaningful to you, and I will ensure you feel safe, heard, and respected.
