Intro

I have been a psychologist for over 20 years and am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. My career has taken me through a variety of settings, including nursing homes, the military, substance abuse treatment, and mental health care. I have a special passion for working with older adults, supporting them through life transitions, emotional challenges, and the unique experiences that come with aging. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching sports.

How would you describe your approach to care?

My approach to treatment combines warmth, empathy, and evidence-based strategies to create a safe and supportive space for growth and healing. I believe that true progress happens through connection, self-awareness, and practical tools that foster lasting change. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I partner with clients to uncover their strengths, build effective coping skills, and create meaningful, balanced lives.

What should be expected in the first session?

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about your history, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll also explain how therapy works, answer any questions you may have, and discuss what our sessions might look like moving forward. This first meeting is an opportunity for us to start building a connection and setting goals together.
