Intro

As a psychologist with specialized training in geriatrics, I have over a decade of experience helping clients navigate the challenges of later life. I specialize in burnout, caregiving for older adults, low motivation, life transitions, adjusting to new roles, struggles with guilt, feeling helpless, setting healthy boundaries, financial planning, and preparing for the uncertainty of retirement. I hold a PhD in Counseling Psychology, an MBA, and have years of experience as a frontline healthcare worker in the nursing home industry. Let me help you find meaning again, achieve a healthier balance, and regain a sense of control.

How would you describe your approach to care?

I work primarily from a blend of Cognitive therapies and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I believe that our thoughts and actions play a huge role in how we cope with hardship, yet we also must find a way to grapple with the things we cannot control. I also find that behavior change is the best way of breaking old habits and setting a new pattern for the future. I focus on leveraging my experience working with later-life issues to help you make meaningful changes in your busy and stressful life.

What should be expected in the first session?

I offer virtual (online) therapy sessions to residents of Kentucky and Indiana and am primarily available on weekday mornings and afternoons. We’ll begin with an intake appointment, where we’ll discuss your background, what brings you to therapy, and potential directions for treatment. My goal is to provide you with simple yet meaningful goals from the very start. Our first meeting is also an opportunity for you to ask questions or share any concerns. I am committed to making this a positive and comfortable experience for you.
