Dr. Lonny Weiss
Intro
I have been a licensed clinical psychologist for over twenty-five years and have worked with individuals, families, and couples in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am a strong listener, and my focus is on helping people better understand their challenges and develop practical ways to address them. During our work together, I aim to support insight, growth, and problem-solving using a range of therapeutic techniques.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I was trained in cognitive behavioral psychology, but I draw from a variety of therapeutic and philosophical approaches depending on the individual and their needs. When aligned with a patient’s interests, my work may also be informed by a broader philosophical or spiritual perspective, always guided by what feels most helpful and relevant to the patient.
What should be expected in the first session?
The first session is an opportunity to gather information and get to know one another in a meaningful way. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you hope to gain from the process. Understanding your goals is an important part of this initial conversation, and together we’ll begin to shape a path forward that feels supportive and appropriate.
