Dr. Robert Morris
Intro
Hello, I have a diverse background in therapy, ranging from treating veterans, college students, the elderly and active duty soldiers. I aim to create a supportive space where you feel heard and understood, and we can work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to help you build practical tools you can use outside of sessions as well. Personal hobbies include bird watching, hiking and cycling.
How would you describe your approach to care?
In therapy, I aim to tailor my approach to each client’s needs and unique clinical presentation. I believe in the effectiveness of client-centered therapy, and I view myself as a collaborative partner on your journey to wellness.
What should be expected in the first session?
The intake typically focuses on gathering clinical information while also building rapport. I also use that time to clarify my initial conceptualization and, if needed, begin establishing therapy goals together. I do not push hard for information, and I prefer to respect each patient’s pace and readiness.
