Dr. Salena White
Intro
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience. I enjoy working with diverse populations, including people experiencing homelessness and individuals with eating disorders. I have provided psychotherapy and assessments to the geriatric population in outpatient settings, long-term care facilities, and inpatient hospital settings. I also have experience providing psychological and neuropsychological assessments in a variety of settings.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My style is collaborative, goal-oriented, and supportive. I work with individuals to create an individualized plan that empowers each client to understand the internal strengths and resources behind each struggle or distressing symptom. I help clients do this by instilling hope, strengthening self-awareness, and building meaningful connections.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we will get to know each other in a welcoming and confidential space tailored to your needs. We will discuss what brings you in, and we’ll work together to figure out what you’re hoping to achieve and how we can make that happen. Together, we will outline a clear path forward, talk about how we’ll work together, and make sure you feel heard, respected, and supported from the start.
