Intro
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Texas, Washington, and Nevada, with over 12 years of experience as a social worker and 6 years providing psychotherapy to adults and older adults from diverse backgrounds. I specialize in supporting older adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, minority women, and people living with chronic health conditions. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity exploration, caregiver stress, and the emotional impact of chronic illness. I understand that each person brings their own story, experiences, and strengths to therapy. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where you feel understood and supported as we work together to navigate challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is trauma-informed, culturally inclusive, and grounded in attachment theory. I integrate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients better understand patterns, develop practical coping strategies, regulate emotions, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. I believe healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, authenticity, and respect.
What should be expected in the first session?
As a therapist, I recognize that each person's journey is different. Together, we'll identify your strengths, process difficult experiences at a pace that feels right for you, and work toward goals that align with your values and the life you want to create.
