Intro

Hello, I'm a native Tucsonan. I now live in the Phoenix area. I am very passionate about building relationships, and in my free time helping those with food insecurities get the support they need. Previous to becoming a therapist I worked with adults with developmental disabilities through an art program. I enjoy spending time with the family, taking our dog on walks, and currently learning how to crochet.

How would you describe your approach to care?

My approach to care is remaining empathetic and caring. I will do that by truly listening to your feelings and what you are wanting to gain by coming to therapy. I use evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and person centered therapy. The goal is helping you find your strengths and learn new skills to utilize for change. It's important for me that we build a safe, trusting & adaptive therapeutic relationship where your best interest is at heart.

What should be expected in the first session?

Your first session will look like us getting to know each other, talking about your interests, where you're from, hobbies and what you want to achieve by coming to therapy. Allowing you the space to share what may be troubling you. What you can expect from me as a therapist are patience, respect, honesty and an introduction or reminders of coping skills that can increase happiness.
