Intro

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Illinois with over 20 years of clinical experience. My career has been focused primarily on working with older adults and helping them to explore their thoughts and feelings regarding personal life challenges. Common concerns that I have successfully worked with include anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, and developing increased compassion and confidence. I have a passion for helping individuals feel more hopeful, self-confident, and empowered regarding the choices they make day-to-day.

How would you describe your approach to care?

My approach is warm, collaborative, flexible, and personalized to each individual. I believe in building a respectful and trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions. Through supportive conversations, we navigate life's transitions together, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and improved self-esteem. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and more energized to make meaningful changes. Together, we'll work toward feeling less alone and gaining a greater sense of emotional well-being.

What should be expected in the first session?

In our first session, we'll take the time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to counseling. It will be a relaxed, supportive conversation, with no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with. We'll also discuss how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and together we will begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. My priority is to ensure you feel heard, validated, and at ease as we start this journey together.
