Joanne Branson
Intro
I am a licensed mental health provider in both Florida and Kentucky, with over 15 years of experience supporting people through grief and bereavement, as well as other major life transitions. While I bring a lifetime of experience and education to my practice, you are the expert on your life. I will listen with respect and honor your experiences.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I strive to create a calm, comfortable space for you to discover what changes you’d like for yourself. I believe people can find the best solutions for their lives with some help and guidance. Therapy can help you gain clarity about what you want and need, and what you’re willing to do to get it. I listen, and you begin to really listen to yourself. Things can get better.
What should be expected in the first session?
During our initial session, I will ask about any previous experiences you’ve had with therapy, what you liked, and what worked best for you. I will review how our work together will proceed, and we will begin to talk about your goals. This first visit is fairly simple, meant for us to get comfortable with one another and see if we are a good fit. Therapy is for you and about you.
