Kaitlin Ortiz
Intro
Hello, my name is Kaitlin Ortiz, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and other mental health concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. I believe in tailoring treatment to each individual's unique needs and goals while helping clients build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in empathy. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I draw from evidence-based practices while tailoring treatment to each individual's unique strengths, needs, and goals. I believe meaningful change occurs when clients feel empowered, understood, and actively involved in the therapeutic process, and I work alongside them to build resilience, coping skills, and lasting personal growth.
What should be expected in the first session?
During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive conversation focused on getting to know them and understanding what brings them to therapy. We will discuss current concerns, relevant personal history, strengths, and goals for treatment. The first session is also an opportunity to ask questions, explore whether we are a good fit, and begin developing a plan tailored to the client's needs. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, heard, and hopeful about the therapeutic process.
