Kimberly Friels
Intro
I am a warm, authentic, and person-centered therapist dedicated to helping clients heal, grow, and create meaningful change. My approach is trauma-focused and solution-oriented, with a specialization in childhood trauma, substance abuse, grief, life transitions, women's issues, anxiety, and depression. I believe each person has the capacity for healing and resilience. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to process difficult experiences, build on their strengths, and move toward a more fulfilling life.
How would you describe your approach to care?
As a person-centered, solution-focused therapist, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative approach that honors your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Together, we will explore challenges, identify practical solutions, and build on the skills and resources you already possess. My role is to support you in creating meaningful change while helping you to move toward the life you want to live.
What should be expected in the first session?
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and goals to better understand your unique experiences and needs. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process and determine whether we are a good fit to work together.
