Intro

Hi! I am a mental health counselor who is here to help you overcome your obstacles while helping you improve compassion and confidence within yourself. No matter who I am serving, my passion is helping people identify and manage their symptoms, develop healthy coping strategies, and ultimately feel empowered to handle whatever comes their way.

How would you describe your approach to care?

My primary approach to counseling mostly involves an integration of solution-focused, mindfulness-based, and cognitive behavioral therapies. Through our conversations we will identify what works best for you, and create a space where you feel heard, safe, and empowered. This integrative counseling approach strives to balance mindful awareness, a genuine and empathic relationship with you, and a collaborative effort at helping you overcome your challenges and move towards growth, healing, and a sense of self.

What should be expected in the first session?

The first session often begins with introductions and a conversation. We will talk about the challenges you are facing, what symptoms you are experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. We will also discuss the practical aspects of therapy, including the length and frequency of sessions, confidentiality, and what ongoing therapy may look like. Ultimately, my goal in our first session is that you feel respected, understood, and safe, and you know that I am here to support and guide you.
