Mary Brieske
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 14 years of experience, licensed in Texas, Wisconsin, Florida, and Maryland. I am well versed in LGBTQ+ issues, couples couples counseling, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and other sensitive concerns. Across 30 years as a teacher, school counselor, and therapist, I’ve seen the many challenges life can bring — and my goal is to help make life more meaningful and fulfilling. I offer hope and support with compassion, empathy, and a completely non-judgmental approach.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is rooted in compassion, empathy, and non-judgment. I focus on creating a safe space where clients feel truly heard and supported. I believe in meeting people exactly where they are and helping them move forward with hope and clarity. Whether working through emotional pain, life transitions, or long-term challenges, I collaborate with clients to build strength, resilience, and a more meaningful, fulfilling life.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we begin by getting to know each other. I’ll explain how therapy works, including confidentiality and what to expect from our time together. We’ll talk about what brought you in, any relevant background or history, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll begin clarifying your goals and determining the best next steps moving forward.
