Intro

I have been licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Minnesota for over 25 years and have worked with a wide variety of people and issues over the years, but my passion is working with older adults and supporting them in living their best lives. Common concerns I work with are depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem. I also support relationship issues including family conflict, divorce, estrangement, parenting your adult children, and being a grandparent. I especially love helping you "find yourself" after a lifetime of caring for others!

How would you describe your approach to care?

My goal in therapy is to meet you where you are in the moment, stand beside you, and work with you to recognize and remove the barriers standing between you and your best life. I am a client-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed provider and I believe we will BOTH grow and learn from our therapeutic relationship. I approach each session based on YOUR needs, and offer warmth, empathy, encouragement, and an authentic presence to support you in reaching your goals.

What should be expected in the first session?

Our first session is about getting to know each other, building comfort, trust, and learning about what brought you to therapy. I'll answer any questions you have, explain a little bit about what to expect in therapy, and give you plenty of time to share your story with me at your own pace.
