Melissa Farrell
Intro
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland, Florida, New Hampshire, and Tennessee with over 15 years of clinical experience. My career has been focused primarily on working with adults and seniors, helping them explore their thoughts and feelings around life’s challenges. Common concerns I have successfully worked with include anxiety and depression, grief and loss, chronic and acute health challenges, and life transitions. I enjoy helping individuals meet their goals, improve the quality of their life, and navigate major life changes with a sense of confidence.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and personalized to each person. I believe in building a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions openly. Through supportive conversations, we will navigate life’s transitions together, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and resilience. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we will work toward personal growth, emotional well-being, and a greater sense of purpose in your daily life.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we will get to know each other and talk about what is bringing you to therapy, along with some of your past experiences. This is a relaxed, no-pressure space, and you can share as much or as little as you would like. We will also talk about how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and identify goals that feel helpful and meaningful to you. My priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and at ease as we start this journey together at your own pace.
