Intro
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience. I feel honored to support adults as they work through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, grief, and substance use challenges. I believe therapy can be a place to feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate, and culturally responsive space where you can explore what you are carrying, build on your strengths, and move toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person's needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches to help clients better understand patterns, build coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. I focus on creating a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive space where clients feel supported, empowered, and able to grow at their own pace.
What should be expected in the first session?
In the first session, clients can expect a supportive and welcoming space to talk about what brings them to therapy, what challenges they are facing, and what they hope to work toward. I will ask questions to better understand your background, current concerns, strengths, and goals, while also giving you space to share at a pace that feels comfortable. The first session is also an opportunity for us to begin building trust and establishing rapport, discuss what may be most helpful, and explore a treatment plan for moving forward together.
