Priscilla Lynn Morton Epps
Intro
Hi, I am Lynn (LISW-CP). I focus on what the client needs today and help them develop a plan for improving their future. My experience is based in Reality Therapy that helps clients work through issues that have put stress, anxiety, and relationship strain on their daily life. I help adults and sometimes their families who are seeking a better life balance to manage anxiety, stress, depression, and real life changes such as separation, divorce, grief, and communication issues. I motivate clients to focus on improving their skills daily based on individual goals and outcomes. Mine is a client-centered approach emphasizing personal responsibility, present actions, and conscious choices to improve relationships and meet basic needs.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I am a reality therapist that focuses on the present using problem solving, journaling, mindfulness, CBT, and affirmations. Individual goals are person-centered and created with the client.
What should be expected in the first session?
I first evaluate a client's history and their individual needs. I will ask about any previous therapy, what has worked and what has not worked for them. I want to get to know a client and their family as well as any other support systems they may already have. We will discuss things they enjoy doing and any positive or negative life experiences.
