Rossetta Eldred
Intro
Hello! My name is Rossetta Eldred, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW-C) in the state of Michigan. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use issues, neurodivergence, grief and loss, recovery from trauma, and caregiver burnout. I am committed to meeting clients where they’re at and helping them improve their mental health and well-being.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I am compassionate and empathetic. My style is client-centered and solution-focused, and I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. I believe that if we can change our thinking, we can change our behavior, and ultimately change our lives for the better. I work collaboratively, meaning we will make decisions together about goals and what feels doable for you right now. I strive to create a nonjudgemental space where all parts of your experience are welcome, including ambivalence and mixed feelings, so that you can move at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, along with typical intake questions, I will spend time getting to know more about you and your life so that I can partner with you in finding ways to improve your health and mental well-being. We will also talk about what has brought you to therapy now, what has or hasn't helped in the past, and what you hope could feel different going forward. I will explain how I work, answer any questions you have about the therapy process, and together we will begin shaping some initial goals so you the leave our first sessions with a sense of direction and support.
