Intro
Hello, I'm Sharon, a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C). I understand that life brings many changes, and sometimes those changes can feel overwhelming. Whether you're adjusting to retirement, coping with the loss of a loved one, managing health concerns, caring for a spouse or family member, or simply feeling lonely or anxious, you don't have to face it alone.I have experience working in community mental health and am passionate about supporting older adults through the unique challenges that can come with aging. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is compassionate, patient, and collaborative, using evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and solution-focused techniques in a way that feels comfortable and easy to understand. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you, helping you navigate life's challenges while finding hope, resilience, and renewed purpose.
What should be expected in the first session?
My goal is to provide a comfortable, judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and valued. Together, we'll focus on your strengths, build practical coping skills, and work toward improving your emotional well-being and quality of life. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, life transitions, relationship and family concerns, caregiver stress, and other emotional challenges. Every person's story is different, so I take the time to get to know you and tailor our sessions to your individual needs and goals.
